India's banking system
the Indian banking system, and mostly the key government affiliated bank, The Royal Bank of India, has a been quite positive about the future prospects of India. In the October 27th announcement, the governor Dr. D. Subbarao, who acts much like Ben Bernanke in the US, sees GDP growth growing at 6 percent which is down a bit from previous estimates. This rate kicks the US hopeful rate, 1 percent, in the head. So even with the worst drought in 35 years in India, how has the economy responded differently to the global turn down then countries such as the US?

I think a huge part of this could be because their is a lot of India that can be improved where as in America, much of our production plants and farms are running at peak efficiency utilizing all the newest technologies. In this prospect, their is a lot more room for growth.
